Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Beat the butter until smooth. Add the sugar, baking soda, and cream of tartar, and mix. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Then beat in the flour. Cover and chill for one hour.
Combine 2 tbsp sugar with the cinnamon. Shape the dough into one-inch balls and roll them in the mix until coated. Then place the balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º F for 10-11 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
Yield: About 36 cookies
