Yellow Rice
Ingredients:
- The 2.5 serving size package of yellow rice, the brand I like is Mahatma™ with saffron.
- Some butter or margarine
- Morningstar Farms™ Breakfast Strips (they're fake bacon)
This recipe makes one serving, if you're hungry and not eating anything else.
Instructions:
Boil some water, about 1 3/4 cup, in a saucepan. Plop a spoonful of butter or margarine in there and let it melt. Then add the rice and cook for 15 minutes or whatever it says on the package. (The package's directions are probably better than mine.) After your rice is all done (you'll be able to tell when there's no water in there but it's not burning), then stick it in a bowl and shove it in the fridge. Get about three strips of Morningstar Farms™ Breakfast Strips and microwave 'em so they're not too crispy, and sprinkle 'em over your rice when it's cooled. Eat it together. It's really yummy. Of course, the addition of the Breakfast Strips is totally optional, but otherwise it's just yellow rice and there'd be no reason for me to put it on my recipe page, now WOULD THERE??
