Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients:
- Two slices individually wrapped processed cheese slices. . . . only the best! (I use Velveeta™.)
- Two pieces of bread.
- Some margarine
Quite a filling snack for one person, or yummy for appetizers at a party when cut into squares or triangles! :D
Instructions:
This is something I have eaten since early childhood too. You can vary the type of cheese, by the way; I also like it with Swiss. First you turn your pan on high and let some butter melt in there. Fix your sandwich while you wait for it to get hot: Put the two slices of cheese between the two slices of bread and wait. When the butter sizzles, put it on top, trying to get the butter to touch all of the bread. Peek underneath periodically to see if it's the color you want it; I like my sandwiches light but you might like them dark. Take the sandwich out with your spatula and drop some more butter in. You probably wanna turn down the heat. It is a good idea also to turn the sandwich over on your plate first, so you don't end up trying to be a hotshot and flip it into the pan only to miss and make a mess. (Can you guess who's done this plenty of times?) Put it on the grease again and wait for that side to match its toasted side. Then take it out and cut it into neat shapes! It's fun!
